Strength & Conditioning

Youth Strength and Conditioning is a group training program specially designed to introduce good, functional movement patterns to the youth athlete.

The youth program will focus on increasing the athlete’s general physical preparedness, strength, conditioning and improved cardiovascular capacity.

Each workout will include a safe and effective warmup followed by a series of strength and conditioning exercises that work in support of each other.  The workouts will be progressive in nature, teaching the athlete first to perfect their form before moving onto heavier, more complex lifts.  Conditioning will focus on overall cardiovascular health and will prepare the athlete to move quicker and with improved agility. 

Youth Strength & Conditioning is for athletes ages 12-18 (Jr. High to High School) who have been looking for a way to increase their strength and conditioning in a safe and effective way to improve their game when they hit the field, court, pool, slopes or just obtain overall improved health.

 

The Youth Strength & Conditioning Program offers safe, effective weight training techniques. The component of the program focuses on “How To” rather than “How Much”, maximal strength potential will never be realized until the athlete is able to move without muscle inhibition or movement pattern deviation.

 

Youth Strength & Conditioning works with the athlete to improve their ability to move.  This not only will allow the athlete to lift more safely, it will also reduce the risk of injury during practice and on the field.

 

The Youth Strength & Conditioning Program is for athletes who are ready to learn how to effectively utilize the weight room but need coaching just as they do for their sport. Watching a sport on TV doesn't prepare an athlete to competitively play and watching someone else lift weights doesn't prepare the athlete to weight train.

 

In Youth Strength & Conditioning the athlete will focus first on "how to" and then "how well". Training will go beyond how to lift but teach them to connect their mind and body to each lift, the importance of rest and recovery as well as how to correct problems before they can lead to potential injury.

 

Sign Up for Youth Strength & Conditioning is open from now until May 26th at the price of $99. AFTER May 26th, price increases to $135.00

 

There will be a FREE MANDATORY 2-hour clinic on Saturday, June 15th at 9am.   

 

This clinic will be broken into 2 portions.  First hour we will be reviewing how the program will run, nutrition, expectations, and answer any questions.  Parents are encouraged to stay to ensure this is a good fit for their athlete. 

 

Second hour we will complete our fitness baseline tests for those who are joining us for the 6 weeks.  Registrations MUST be complete by June 15th to participate.  This is a progressive program, so attendance is KEY. 

 

Please review the appropriate rules and expectations files located below. The Parent and the Athlete will review and sign the rules and expectations before beginning the training program. Additional paperwork includes the Personal Information form and the Release Waiver for Minors, all three documents will be kept in the Athletes personal file.
